The Bride
Karina Ibrahim
I remember noticing Sam during my first boxing club class, figuring this kid was the greatest thing since sliced bread. From slight glances during boxing practice in each other direction to casual flirting at house parties, my heart would just beat faster the moment I see him around campus - he used to wear this Puma hat I could recognize anywhere. I would go out of my way to be in the same places he was, attend the same events on campus, or even volunteering at a Haunted House where we dressed up as zombies and ran around after little kids. My life is better because he is in it and I cannot wait for all the memories will make in the years to come.
The Groom
Samuel Mouer
I first met Karina while I was coaching a boxing class back at UNC. After quickly falling for her shortly after our first meeting. I began to take every opportunity available to get to know her more. Whether at parties or bugging her during class, I just wanted to spend as much time with her as possible. It wasnt long after that I was looking for any and every available excuse to spend more time with her and after pestering her long enough, I was finally able to convince her to start going out with me and we haven't looked back since!
True love
Karina + Sam
It was the beginning of a semester in 2010 in Chapel Hill, NC: Karina was a transfer student at UNC and Sam was on the UNC boxing team. We met during Karina’s first boxing class – granted, we did not even exchange a single word with one another until subsequent boxing sessions that semester. After we began meeting outside the class for extra gym time and at parties, we couldn’t spend a single day apart. We made sure to sign up for the same classes, meet each other after school, and simply hang out in each other’s dorm rooms until the break of dawn. After hearing repeatedly, “Are you guys dating?”, at the end of 2012, we finally decided to start replying, “Yes, yes we are.”
